The curtains are a Morris & Co. fabric, and the Pinto-designed rug was made by Alfombras Peña.

Anish Kapoor prints, Hervé Van der Straeten bronze sconces, and minimalist consoles with Lucite legs and stone tops provide a contemporary counterpoint to the living room’s traditional paneling and marble mantelpiece in a Manhattan residence renovated by designer Victoria Hagan in collaboration with Bryan Brown Architects. Hagan designed the sofas, which she grouped with velvet-upholstered Jean Royère chairs around a Carlyle Collective cocktail table and an Alexander Lamont side table.

In the moody lounge inside a century-old San Francisco home remarkably reimagined by Geoffrey De Sousa, Willem Racké Studio applied dark blue-gray lacquer to the paneling, which serves as a backdrop for a Richard Serra artwork above the original limestone fireplace, outfitted with a fire screen by James Bearden for Studio Van den Akker. A Robert Kuo light fixture is mounted above a custom-designed sofa by De Sousa, vintage Milo Baughman swivel chairs, an Yves Klein table, and a silk rug made from recycled saris by J.D. Staron.

Jacques Grange conceived this Fifth Avenue apartment for major art collector Stacey Bronfman. A Fernando Botero work framed by Agostini sconces preside above a mica fireplace designed by Grange in the living room. Surrounding an Ado Chale table are lounge chairs by Franco Albini and Franco Helg as well as a Grange-designed sofa. Stools by Major Bleu, chairs by Joris Laarman and Royere, and a Jim Zivic table are also included in the space. The carpet was custom made by Beauvais.
