Galerie Celebrates the 2022 Creative Minds Honorees at Il Fiorista in Manhattan
Founder, Lisa Fayne Cohen, and Editor in Chief, Jacqueline Terrebonne, toast the latest group of trailblazing talents
On May 17, Galerie hosted a cocktail party at Il Fiorista in Manhattan to toast the 2022 Creative Minds, which were unveiled in the magazine’s Spring Issue. Handpicked by Galerie’s editorial team, this group of innovative talents is blazing new trails with an extraordinary mix of vision, experimentation, and craftsmanship. Galerie founder and editorial director, Lisa Fayne Cohen, and editor in chief, Jacqueline Terrebonne, gave remarks praising the 22 honorees—all of whom share a daring sense of imagination and unwavering determination to create ambitious projects that redefine the art of what is possible.
Coming from a diverse range of fields, including art, architecture, fashion, jewelry, and cuisine, these audacious forces exemplify what it means to break new ground. Among the honorees in attendance at the event were high-jewelry designer Wilfredo Rosado, Russian-born visionary Harry Nuriev, and innovative furniture-maker Jeff Forrest. Also present was Brooklyn-based architect Elizabeth Roberts, who designed the light-filled Nomad establishment, which combines a restaurant, floral boutique, and education center into one superbly chic space. Sheathing the walls are murals painted by artist Leanne Shapton, while the custom furnishings were crafted by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola.
The lively evening also included a slew of notable guests, such as gallerist Ralph Pucci, architect Lee F. Mindel, artist Nancy Lorenz, jeweler Nina Runsdorf, designer Geoffrey De Sousa, tastemaker Pierre Frey, and artisan John Pomp. Everyone sipped delicious spritzes and ate bites by Il Fiorista’s Italian husband-and-wife duo Mario and Alessandra De Benedetti. All in all, a perfect toast to creativity.
