Lisa Fayne Cohen and Elizabeth Margulies Host Festive Evening to Kick Off Art Basel
Art and design insiders enjoyed a private dînatoire and viewing of the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse in Miami
For a second year during Art Basel in Miami Beach, Galerie founder and editorial director Lisa Fayne Cohen and art adviser Elizabeth Margulies invited guests to an exclusive dînatoire, provided by culinary group Constellation, as well as a private viewing of the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse. Art and design industry insiders celebrated the launch of Galerie’s Winter 2019 Collectors issue, which features Margulies and her father, Martin, on the cover.
The event was held at the Warehouse, a nonprofit institution in Wynwood that displays the remarkable contemporary art collection of Martin Margulies. The event sponsors included Chase Private Client, jeweler Martin Katz, Château d’Esclans, and Valmont Cosmetics, which recently opened a new spa at the Setai in Miami Beach.

The wine portfolio included Whispering Angel as well as Rock Angel, the latter of which was served by models during the evening. A selection of fine jewelry by Katz was also displayed in glass cases, and VIP guests had the opportunity to try on some of the exquisite jewels. Meanwhile, an installation of modern furnishings by Kartell was set up in front of a new acquisition by artist Jennifer Steinkamp titled Blind Eye 3 (2019). At the end of the night, guests went home with special Galerie tote bags filled with the Winter issue and products by Valmont Cosmetics.
