Gearing up for chillier days ahead, storied Italian fashion house Loro Piana has officially unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection, where a mix of familiar faces and artistic institutions bring an even more elevated feel to this new assortment of must-haves. The feeling of the new collection is all about embracing journeys, which is showcased through their latest campaign shot by noted photographer Mario Sorrenti, where the backdrops consist of two artistic Houston institutions.

Complementing the collection’s mixing color palettes of of browns, blocked neutrals, and tastes of ochre and terracotta and cashmere fabrics, the Italian house brought together artist Jean-Charles Blais and Sigrid de L’Epine as well as models Selena Forrest, Robert Forrest, Long Li, Jacqui Hooper, Colin Otto, Noor Khan, and Jackson Giles to the city’s Menil Collection, formerly the residence of art patrons John and Dominique de Menil. The campaign also finds a home inside Rothko Chapel. Opened in 1971, it houses 14 canvases by Mark Rothko, playing with the juxtapositions of color, shadow, and natural light.

Through both these institutions, the collection draws on the image of movement, whether it’s walking through the gallery spaces or lush greenery of the gardens.

Playing into Loro Piana’s consistent role in providing romantic and inspiring atmospheres, American saxophonist and longtime collaborator of the de Menils, Richard “Dickie” Landry, improvised a sequence of sounds to play in the background throughout the campaign.

The collection also comes in anticipation of the Menil Collection’s 40th anniversary next year, where Loro Piana has pledged its support for the institution. Additionally, the brand has contributed to the Rothko Chapel’s “Opening Spaces” initiative, a restoration and expansion project designed to preserve the landmark building for future generations.
