Artful Escapes: Delano Miami Beach

The Art Deco landmark enters a bold new chapter after a masterful refresh

One of the few hotels that defined Miami Beach for decades, from the city’s Art Deco heyday to its first Philippe StarckIan Schrager collaboration, the Delano is as much an innovator as an institution. Loyalists can rest assured that the iconic D monogram still anchors the lobby, where the Miami Design Preservation League championed the restoration of the original hexagonal columns and medallion motif terrazzo floors. Rose Bar—arguably the precursor of the city’s craft cocktail scene—is also back for a spectacular round deux.
