The Carnegie Hill home features two bedrooms, two full baths, and one half bath.

The 2,508-square-foot abode boasts a private elevator, scenic views of both the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir and Central Park, herringbone floors, towering ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, an additional 2,300 square feet of terraces, a butler’s pantry, and an eat-in kitchen.

Built in 1925, this pet-friendly building is a full-service cooperative with a fitness center, bike room, live-in resident manager, and a 24-hour doorman. The edifice was designed by James Edwin Ruthven Carpenter Jr., who was known for his work on luxury residential high-rise buildings in Manhattan, including various buildings on Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

According to the New York Times, Newman and Woodward’s children are overseeing the sale on their mother’s behalf. Woodward currently lives in Westport, Connecticut.

The couple’s youngest child, Clea Newman Soderlund, told the Times that this penthouse was her parents’ “oasis in New York,” adding, “It was really kind of their romantic spot. They would spend weeks at a clip there. They would go to the theater or the opera or out to dinner with friends.”

Some of the A-list friends they hosted at their home include Cher, Harry Belafonte, former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, and Tom Cruise
