Power couple David and Victoria Beckham have long considered Miami a second home after relocating from the UK over a decade ago.

David, a retired soccer player who gained recognition for playing with MLS teams Manchester United, Real Madrid, L.A. Galaxy, and Paris Saint-Germain, became co-owner of MLS team Inter Miami CF in 2014. Along with their $24 million residence in the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum Building, David and Victoria Beckham recently purchased a $72.3 million waterfront house on North Bay Road in Miami Beach, below its $80 million asking price. The couple also has homes in various cities throughout the world, including London, Dubai, the English countryside, and more. The purchase adds to the growing number of celebrity homes in Miami.

Inside the North Bay Road Mansion

According to The Real Deal, the couple splurged on a 14,279-square-foot mansion on North Bay Road. The home has nine bedrooms, nine baths, and four powder rooms. It was built by Choeff Levy Fischman, a Florida-based architectural firm who works on waterfront projects throughout South Florida, from Miami to Tampa, and renowned Florida home builder Bart Reines was involved in the project. The two-story home last sold for $10 million in 2018 to Hamptons-based real estate developer Niklas de la Motte.

The ultra-contemporary residence is like a wellness sanctuary confined within a half an acre. It features a grand entryway with two reflecting pools and a waterfall, as well as a picturesque courtyard with a two-story living green wall and mature trees, which add an organic element to the home’s entrance. Interiors are by Antrobus Design Collective, who incorporated high-end materials like Ipe wood, Perlato marble, metal accents, and bronze-framed doors and windows that seamlessly integrate Miami’s tropical foliage and textures into the indoors. There’s a commodious living room, featuring a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood in. The home also has a formal dining room and a massive gourmet kitchen with a commercial-grade refrigerator; multiple kitchen islands; office; movie theater; gym; spa; and a rooftop deck with both bay and skyline views.

Waterfront Living on Biscayne Bay

The ultra-modern home has a resort-like primary suite, which includes a spa-like bathroom and panoramic views of Biscayne Bay. The additional bedrooms are equally as desirable, with en suite baths and near-perfect views. At this price point, a Miami home nearly requires outdoor amenities, and this home certainly delivers. There’s an infinity-edge pool, marble terrace, outdoor dining, and 124 feet of water frontage.
