Regina Bilotta and Sarah Witkin of Bilotta Kitchen & Home transformed the Kips Bay Decorator Show House kitchen into an Italian coffee bar, enveloping the room with an expressive stone from Artistic Tile that serves as a dynamic counterpoint to their warm custom cabinetry. Metallic accents give the space a powerful shot of la dolce vita.

Envisioning a bedroom suite for “the new connoisseur,” John Ferguson Interiors mixed strong geometries with softer moments, like a swath of drapes of a Casamance fabric. Upping the ante is a considered array of collectible design, with special finds from R & Company, Maison Gerard, John Rosselli, and more, defining this room as the retreat of a scholarly collector.

All you need is love—Kylie K. Bass of KKB Interiors leaned in to the idea of the love of one’s home to produce a young girl’s en suite. A beautiful Gracie wallpaper helps set the scene, which is elevated through Sanderson fabrics and window treatments by The Shade Store.

In the bath, dubbed “Future Ruins,” Megan Grehl looked to produce a space that “explores the dialogue between permanence and impermanence” and serves as a spot “for ritual, reflection, and restoration.” Look for a bold stone by ABC Stone, evocative of the cinematic film Dune , and unexpected amenities like a custom beverage center.

Robbins Architecture + Interiors founder Celeste Robbins tapped into her travels throughout Japan for a bath named for the Japanese word for mist, kasumi. That ethos is translated into a hazy screen made using a Rosemary Hallgarten sheer, stonework of various opacities, and hidden technology that fills the room with a transportive interplay of light and shadow.

More and more designers treat the outdoor area as an extension of the home; Tyler Banken embraced that philosophy in the show house’s backyard, carving out zones for cooking, dining, and respite. Sutherland furniture, Ann Sacks tile, and Christopher William lighting enliven the space that also boasts a custom pergola with mosaics and a fire feature.

Already established as an expert at creating an unforgettable show house bath, Vanessa Deleon introduces “Immersion,” a bathing sanctuary wrapped in an awe-inspiring stone patchwork from Artistic Tile.
