Galerie’s editorial team handpicked a group of uniquely talented designers from across the country to bring to life a house that celebrates both art and design. All known for their ability to incorporate high-caliber artwork into livable spaces, these designers have enlivened a classic, Shingle-style estate in Sag Harbor with their distinctive points of view and imaginative concepts for how the ultimate collector would want to live in the Hamptons.
Collaborating with blue-chip galleries, each of these visionaries has used art to inform and inspire the design decisions for their rooms—whether selecting collectible pieces from today’s most sough-after makers or customizing elaborate hand-painted wallpaper. These ingenious touches and displays of one-of-a-kind craftsmanship are what unquestionably make every single space in the house a true work of art.

Bob Bakes
To craft the dream kitchen, Bob Bakes of Bakes & Kropp selected both flat- and glass-front cabinetry, rendered in a soothing blue shade, and top-of-the-line appliances from Fisher & Paykel. The Cambria marble’s gentle wavelike veining adds to the beach-chic atmosphere, while gleaming brass accents, including a striking custom range hood, adds a sophisticated flair. A spacious island surmounted by sculptural lighting fixtures from Circa offer plenty of prep space as well as a convivial spot for casual entertaining.
Rayman Boozer
Rayman Boozer of Apartment 48 Interior Design created an transportive junior primary bedroom suite where a writer can find endless inspiration at a Serena & Lily desk, surrounded by furniture and objets d’art from Harbinger, Julian Chichester, and Tribute Goods. After a long day, the room’s conjured occupant could unwind in a swoon-worthy Ferguson tub with fixtures by Sherle Wagner International, then retire for the evening in the Savoir bed, letting the wall coverings from Arte, Fromental, and S. Harris inspire tomorrow’s adventures.
Billy Cotton
A playful Jack Pierson wall drawing sets the scene in designer Billy Cotton’s downstairs living room where myriad custom furnishings rendered in a sumptuous Pierre Frey fabric provide an alluring spot to unwind. Large scale doors from Atelier Domingue open to the terrace and views of the bucolic rolling landscape.
Mark Cunningham
The heart of the home is a spacious library crafted by Mark Cunningham. An array of fixtures from Circa illuminate the artful plasterwork which provides a romantic backdrop for a selection of plush seating options from the designer’s brand Marked, all situated upon a Merida rug. Sculptural tables from Maison Gerard and J.M. Szymanski are topped with ceramics by Freeforms and a vase from Carpenters Workshop Gallery while an eye-catching work by Bernard Frize adds a playful pop of color.
Geoffrey De Sousa
Bold jewel tones abound in Geoffrey De Sousa’s luxurious bedroom suite, where decorative painter Abby Manouk created the feature wall that backs a bed in Eastern Accents linens. A vintage table by Aldo Tura, Fort Street Studio rug, Fornasetti mirror, de la Cuona textiles, and Milo Baughman etagère join a thoughtful curation of art from Nara Roesler gallery, including pieces by Alexandre Arrechea, Marco Maggi, and Vik Muniz.
Dywer Derrig
This functional hub becomes a visual stunner at the hands of Dwyer Derrig, who brought custom cabinets by Landrail Point Woodworking and Bakes & Kropp to life using rich shades from the Paint Laboratory, a Phillip Jeffries wallcovering, and marble from ABC Stone. Accessorizing the areas are custom light switches from Forbes & Lomax, Chilewich mats, Waterworks fixtures, and a Sybelle Carpet runner. Katonah Architectural Hardware adds the jewelry to the rooms with elegant additions throughout.
Benoist F. Drut
A salon cultivated by Benoist F. Drut of Maison Gerard offers the ultimate gathering space with seating by Achille Salvagni, Ammar Kalo, and Louis Cane paired with a Maxime Old bar. Artwork and design pieces by Douglas Fanning, Matthew Solomon, Marino di Teana, Ayala Serfaty, and Zigor offers an inspiring moment at every turn.
Elena Frampton
This veranda curated by Elena Frampton of Frampton Co. maximizes the indoor-outdoor living essential to Hamptons residents. Here, a Dune sofa joins a number of pieces of collectible design, including tables by Paul Mathieu and John Koga, Nick Missel bench, and Patrick Naggar seating from Ralph Pucci. Decadent textiles from Shore Rugs, Pierre Frey, and Dedar add coziness to the space that opens to the pool and Bernar Venet sculpture.
Nicole Fuller
Offering a spa day from the comfort of home, design chair Nicole Fuller built a restorative space around a Savoir meditation bed and Technogym workout equipment. Refresh after a yoga session in the hammam outfitted with Reinaldo Sanguino tile, Zicana stone, Ferguson tub and wet bar, sink fittings by Sherle Wagner, and Fisher & Paykel refrigerator drawers. Bolstering the room’s tactile experience are textiles from de Le Cuona, Pierre Frey, Fortuny, and Matteo, accessorized with Samuel & Sons tassels.
Kimberly Von Koontz
Adjoining Fuller’s spa interior is an outdoor zen garden cultivated by landscape designer Kimberly Von Koontz. The serene setting offers a place for contemplation on a sculptural Mattia Bonetti bench, while fire areas, lush greenery, and soothing stone pathways provide myriad nooks for quiet reprieve.
Elizabeth Gill
To brighten a main floor bath and closet, designer Elizabeth Gill selected a bold Fromental wallpaper coupled with a color-rich lacquer from the Paint Laboratory. A variety of Circa lighting options illuminate the rooms that also showcase a Vaughn mirror, Rug Company floor covering, artwork by Damien Hirst and Cy Twombly, and shades from the Shade Store. In the bath, pieces by Waterworks, Sherle Wagner International, E. Braun & Co., and Katonah Architectural Hardware offer both function and style.
Josh Greene
Designer Josh Greene conceived the a heavenly dressing area that combines a spacious bath and meticulously coordinated closet. In the bath, a bold tile from the Complete Tile Collection complements a deep freestanding tub from Native Trails. Vanities by Florense are adorned with Hoffman Hardware and fittings by Sherle Wagner that gleam against a Fromental wallpaper. Geometric works by Gabriel de la Mora and abstract washes of color by Pieter Vermeersch are coupled with a playful Paola Pivi bear sure to be a fun surprise for fashion-loving collectors.
Ellen Hamilton
Channeling the rich colors that punctuate the Frida Kahlo museum known as the Blue House, designer Ellen Hamilton transformed the dining room into a joyful space to entertain with warm terra cotta, vivid blue, and sunny gold shades from the Paint Laboratory. Furnishings from Maison Gerard, including a spacious dining table and leggy chairs, are coupled with tableware from Sud New Orleans, Astier de Villatte, and Hermès. A fireplace enhanced with materials from ABC Stone is surrounded by an exceptional art collection.
André Jordan Hilton
A picturesque bed, chandelier, desk, and wallcovering by Bradley USA sets the stage in this bedroom suite by André Jordan Hilton of Jordan Hilton Interiors. A Samad rug anchors the room that’s furnished using pieces from Ottra, Brightbound, and Token. Textiles by Romo Fabrics and S. Harris, bedding by Wildcat Territory, and wallcoverings by Fromental and Vahallan ensure this sanctuary induces plenty of sweet dreams.
Adam Hunter
Designer Adam Hunter’s home theater provides an epic gathering spot where a vast Rug Company floor covering is topped with Vladimir Kagan sofa and chairs from Holly Hunt and James Magni table. The starry Fromental wallpaper creates an otherworldly effect where cinephiles can enjoy movie night utilizing the Tech Lifestyles audio system, Steal Acoustics speakers, Epson projector and Elite Screen, programmed with Control4 devices.
Ike Kligerman Barkley
It’s impossible to overlook this vivacious octagonal salon constructed by the team at Ike Kligerman Barkley. Woodmeister Master Builders meticulously assembled the millwork over a tropical Michael Hagen mural that’s illuminated by Julie Neill sconces from Visual Comfort and a Kelly Wearstler chandelier from Circa Lighting. Take in the towering tree sourced by Landscape Details from the Golden Teak bench.
Katie Leede
Designer and boutique owner Katie Leede created a welcoming mudroom at the show house, transforming an octagonal nook into a quiet place for reprieve. The woodsy olive green palette is enhanced with shimmering accents—from a gilded detail on the Fromental wallpaper to a bold Nancy Lorenz artwork to a dynamic chandelier from Circa. Adding to the room’s appeal are the layers of textiles from Katie Leede & Company, Pierre Frey, Samuel & Sons, Rogers & Goffigon, Janet Yonaty, Rosemary Hallgarten, and Decorator’s Best.
Leroy Street Studio
The lower-level landing is transformed into an exuberant lounge area by the talented team at Leroy Street Studio, who crafted architectural arches around doorways and display niches that are filled with unique treasures from Pace African & Oceanic Art, Donzella, and Art for Change, which donates a portion of the sales of its global collection to organizations affecting positive change around the globe. Lighting from Maison Gerard and R & Company, Lalanne seating from Kasmin, and a substantial fireplace from Twenty First Gallery complete this collector’s haven.
Leyden Lewis
Art enthusiasts will be enraptured by Leyden Lewis’ vibrant pool bar and kitchenette where a selection of Florense storage options and Fisher & Paykel appliances provide a functional foundation for a playful collection of creative elements. Here, artwork by Oliver Lee Jackson, Florine Démosthène, Raphaël Barontini, Luis Flores, Lyle Ashton Harris, and Andile Dyalvane is displayed amongst a Vladimir Kagan sofa from Holly Hunt, Jomo Tariku chair, tables by Gaspare Asaro-Italian Modern, and a Nico Yektai console.
Jeff Lincoln
Who wouldn’t want to work from home in this funky office designed by Jeff Lincoln? Sourcing a selection of both vintage and contemporary collectible design by Pierre Jeanneret, Jean Prouve, Gerrit Reitveld, Lina Bo Bardi, Rogan Gregory, Caleb Woodard, and John Pomp from his Southampton design gallery, Lincoln punctuated the space with lamps by Elisa Uberti, Oscar Toralasco, and Peter Lane, sculptures by Alex Hagentorn, and silver gelatin photographs by Andy Warhol. Anchoring the room are a selection of rugs from Stark, the Rug Company, and Carine Boxy.
Richard Mishaan
Transforming the show house’s primary bedroom, vestibule, and terrace into a dreamy showstopper is Richard Mishaan, who took inspiration from two works by David Hockney for a verdant interior design. A Fromental wallpaper is coupled with a Stark rug, while Theodore Alexander tables, Circa lighting, and a bed outfitted with Matouk linens, create a welcoming retreat. Outside, Bernhardt furniture offers a lovely hideaway for whomever presides over this castle.
Rocky Rochon
Guests will clamor for an overnight invitation to this bedroom suite by Rocky Rochon. Here, custom furnishings play off the color rich walls painted with selections from the Paint Laboratory while an eye-catching tile from Complete Tile Collection enlivens the artful scene that boasts a curated collection of artworks by Helmi Juvonen, Jean Cocteau, Alberto Giacometti, Mark Tobey, Kenneth Callahan, Morris Graves, and Guy Anderson.
Sara Story
The Collector’s Library becomes its own work of art at the hands of designer Sara Story, who enveloped the room in a rich wine hue using Fromental’s wallpaper and ceilings painted by The Paint Laboratory. Pieces of collectible design by William O’Brien, Sanford Biggers, Jorge Pardo, Vincenzo De Cotiis, Christophe Côme, George Condo, and Rashid Johnson, are sourced from the galleries Marianne Boesky, Victoria Miro, Carpenters Workshop, Magen H. Gallery, and Samuels Creative. These and several other artists make every corner come to life, while a plush Stark rug offers art underfoot. Chairs from Bossa Furniture face the focal point—a fireplace fabricated by Zicana using ABC stone.
