More than 100 exhibitors are coming together now through September 8 in New York for the first American edition of Collectible, the Belgium-based contemporary design fair founded in 2018 by Clélie Debehault and Liv Vaisberg. Set across two sprawling floors at Water Street Associates in Lower Manhattan, the showcase encompasses eight sections that highlight an array of galleries, architects, design studios, and even fashion labels at the cutting edge of their respective fields. Among the noteworthy participants are returning galleries such as Antwerp’s St. Vincents and Max Radford, as well as U.S. outfits including Tuleste Factory, Emma Scully Gallery, Mastrangelo, and Room 57 Gallery.

“This inaugural edition of Collectible New York marks a unique opportunity for design professionals from all horizons to connect, discover, and inspire each other,” says Emily Marant, director of Collectible New York. “The exceptional lineup of Collectible New York exhibitors represents this pivotal moment, encouraging established and emerging designers alike to push boundaries and address global contemporary challenges. We eagerly anticipate the innovations and discoveries that will be unveiled during Collectible New York and look forward to being in dialogue with the international design community.”

Organized into four areas and four curated spaces, the fair categories encompass the following: Main, Bespoke, Outdoor, and Fashion, plus Curated, Architect <-> Designer, New Garde, and Special Projects. The final grouping spotlights the Female Design Council, Erria, The World Around, Video Books, and a collaboration between Petra Hardware and Sight Unseen.

In addition, to honor the fair’s connection with creative hub Water Street Projects, there’s a special section called Post Post New New that examines the post-modernism design. Check out Collectible’s website for a full schedule of programming, which includes talks by Lora Appleton (Director of the Female Design Council), Emma Scully (Designer and Founder of Emma Scully Gallery), and Winka Dubbeldam (Architect and Director of the ARI Lab).
