Designer Young Huh Reveals Her Mother’s Day Gift List

Designer Young Huh masterfully conceives rooms that are as chic and elegant as they are warm and welcoming. Carefully layering fantastical, creative pieces with rich earthy materials, her spaces are a visual symphony of sumptuous textiles, sculptural furnishings, jewel tones, and decorative accents that resonate with cultural connoisseurs, like Idina Menzel, whose dressing room Huh recently decorated with a plush velvet sofa, shapely wood seating, and an atmospheric mural that nods to her current production, Redwood.
Huh’s star has continued to rise since orchestrating the dramatic artist’s loft at the 2019 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York, and in recent months, she’s turned her discerning eye to chic guest areas at Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos, a tile collection with AKDO, and her own upstate New York residence, where the designer completely reimagined the rooms and sprawling gardens that were the site of her daughter’s 2023 wedding.
