Launched at a time when many businesses were closing up shop due to the pandemic, Flamingo Estate has grown from a local outlet to support a handful of farmers into a global brand offering bath products, gourmet foods, and home accessories made using garden-fresh ingredients sourced from 125 farms around the world. Founder Richard Christiansen built Flamingo Estate by focusing on “the slow way, the old way, the proper way.”

Using his Edenic residence high in the hills near Hollywood, Christiansen is changing people’s perspective around natural goods by bringing in art, design, and culture. His label offers honey sourced from hives installed on the property of tastemakers like LeBron James and Kelly Wearstler. “Mother Nature is the last great luxury house and we are the purveyor of her goods,” says Christiansen from his home, a remarkable collaboration with Studio KO.

Here, Christiansen leads Galerie on a tour of the spectacular property as he shares insight into Flamingo Estate and its ethos of conscientious luxury.
