Tiffany & Co. Partners with Musée des Arts Décoratifs to Preserve the Legacy of Jean Schlumberger
A four-year initiative will support efforts in restoration, digitization, and more
On Monday evening, distinguished guests were invited to take in Tiffany & Co.’s “I Am Only a Pencil” at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, followed by an intimate dinner in the Christine and Stephen A. Schwarzman Fashion Galleries at the museum. The moment was a celebration of a new four-year partnership between Tiffany & Co. and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, which will preserve the creative legacy of the maison’s legendary designer, Jean Schlumberger.
The partnership will support the museum’s efforts in conservation, restoration, and a digitization program of over 5,000 original drawings and 5,000 archival documents related to Schlumberger’s work. As one of the 20th century’s most prolific artists, Schlumberger’s nature-inspired creations continue to inform the maison’s high jewelry collections.
The evening, which started with cocktails followed by a dinner curated by chef Romain Meder, was attended by notable guests who wore iconic Tiffany & Co. designs, including Anya Taylor-Joy, who wore a Bird on a Rock necklace, earrings, and bracelet. Cynthia Erivo finished her look with a Bird on a Rock Wings necklace, a Bird on a Rock lovebirds pendant, and Sixteen Stone hoop earrings, while Greta Lee opted for a Bird on a Rock Wings pavé necklace, Jean Schlumberger earrings, a Bird on a Rock Wings ring, and a Sixteen Stone ring. Other guests who dazzled in Tiffany & Co.’s creations included Anne Curtis, Chase Sui Wonders, Derek Blasberg, Sebastian Yatra, Diane Kruger, and others.
