Tiffany & Co.’s Latest Home Collection Pays Colorful Tribute to French Artist
Inspired by archival tableware by Camille Le Tallec from the 1970s, the Tiffany Batik line features drinkware, porcelain dinnerware, and home accessories
Tiffany & Co. is making a colorful splash this month with the debut of its latest addition to their home collection, Tiffany Batik.
The line, announced on July 9, gives new life to the archival tableware by French craftsperson and artist Camille Le Tallec, who worked for the House in the 1970s. Tiffany & Co.’s artistic director of the home category, Lauren Santo Domingo, designed the pieces based on Le Tallec’s devotion to traditional Javanese textiles known as batik.
The collection, current available online and at The Landmark in New York City, includes drinkware, porcelain dinnerware, home decor and more, with each creation handcrafted using unique materials and ancestral techniques to reimagine the intricate, geometric motifs constructed by Le Tallec.
