These Hotel Exclusives Make Souvenir Shopping Extra Special
This season’s runway-meet-resort selections of swimwear, accessories, and home goods are the perfect memento from a dreamy getaway
The stores ensconced in major museums have steadily become some of the most treasured destinations for discovering unique home goods, collectibles, and fashionable accessories. Its only natural then that hotels have taken note, elevating their on-property shopping experience with curated collections and fun exclusives. Some take cues from the locale, with colors, patterns, and sayings that visually connect with the region. Others honor the hotel itself with chic branded goods. Truly special finds are made in conjunction with a celebrated designer, artist, or artisan.
Here, a look at some recent introductions worth saving a little luggage space to bring home.
1. The Colony Hotel x Agua by Agua Bendita x De Gournay
Perhaps the most famous pink hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, The Colony lures a fashionable crowd who like to mix and mingle in the fabulous lobby that Kemble Design enveloped in a custom De Gournay wall covering. Now fashionistas enamored of the aesthetic can sport a similar look with a new collection from Agua by Agua Bendita. The assortment of swimwear, pareos, and a mini dress features a pattern drawn from the hotel’s signature wallpaper in two complementary colorways.
2. Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort x Compartés
The many tantalizing flavors of the Caribbean is one of the highlights of traveling to the region. For a limited time, the glamorous St. Lucia resort Sugar Beach is channeling those mouthwatering ingredients into an exquisite treat with famed chocolatier Compartés. Epicureans can savor a caramelized chocolate banana bar or a mango and passionfruit chocolate truffle box; additionally, guests visiting the art-filled hotel April 4 through 6 can learn the art of chocolate making with Compartés CEO Jonathan Grahm or enjoy a guided St. Lucian rum and chocolate pairing course.
3. The Fife Arms x Jane Carr
A renowned jetsetter, Jane Carr curates a fabulous collection of fashion and home goods influenced by her global travels. For famed hotel Fife Arms, the brand created a series of cashmere sweaters in a traditional Scottish style. Additionally, Jane Carr designed a selection of cozy cotton tees and corduroy hats for the hotel’s Nae Bother collection, a Scottish moniker that translates to “nothing to worry about,” a fitting sentiment to this perfect stay.
4. The Brazilian Court Hotel x Johanna Ortiz
Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz has a longstanding relationship with posh Palm Beach retreat The Brazilian Court Hotel. Now, she’s making herself even more at home by joining the property’s on-site boutique Casa by Brazilian Court. Here, guests will find a glamorous selection of the designer’s dresses, accessories, and home goods with seasonal launches and exclusive collaborations in the works. “I am excited to share the spirit of Latin elegance with the Palm Beach community and to create a space where guests can truly connect with our designs in a meaningful way,” says Ortiz. “The Brazilian Court has long felt like a natural home for us. Its timeless glamour, intimate charm, and subtle island allure resonate beautifully with our aesthetic.”
5. Raffles Hotels & Resorts x Printemps
A stay at a five-star hotel like the Raffles properties in New York and Paris doesn’t mean one needs to put on airs, however, with the brand’s ongoing collaboration with the high-style department store Printemps, it’s easy to put a little sass in first-class. The two bastions of good taste join sartorial forces for The Butler Did It collection, an assortment of apparel, accessories, and luggage that look well manicured but reveal just a hint of cheekiness.
6. Ritz-Carlton x Kilometre Paris
Former journalist, traveler, and fashion designer Alexandra Senes launched Kilometre Paris to marry a love of exploration with a passion for artisan handicraft. Now, she’s teamed up with Ritz-Carlton to introduce a version of her woven and embroidered Undercover totes that celebrate four of the brand’s beloved beach hotels. Handmade in Morocco, the limited edition baskets, bucket bags, and bandanas pay homage to Laguna Niguel, Bacara Santa Barbara, Amelia Island, and Key Biscayne in rich tropical color. Plus, more than 30 percent of the proceeds go to support charitable organizations in each community—a perfect representation of look good, do good.
