A Shingle Style house conceived by Ike Kligerman Barkley and D’Apostrophe Design pairs the classic lines of East End architecture on the exterior with an envelope-pushing interior. In the dining room, vintage Pierre Jeanneret chairs surround a Rick Owens table under an Achille Salvagni chandelier and a starry Kiki Smith wall piece.

Inside gallerist Tina Kim and her late husband Jaewoong Chung’s masterfully curated townhouse, architect Adam Charlap Hyman helped seamlessly blend the family’s collection of vintage furniture and blue-chip art. On the parlor floor, Charlap Hyman composed seating areas arrayed with standout midcentury French pieces. A sofa and armchairs by Pierre Jeanneret, upholstered in suede by Edelman, join a Barberini & Gunnell stainless-steel side table around a marble-top table by Jean Prouvé and a work by Luc Tuymans. Haegue Yang created the installation of Venetian blinds and LED tubes that hangs in the two-story space beyond.

French talent Nathan Litera’s thoughtful renovation of a 300-Year-Old Belgian château for an art-collecting family balances old-world grandeur with chic modernity. For one end of the family room, Litera designed a mirror-backed marble bar set into the dark-wood paneling that also serves as a backdrop for a large Jean Dubuffet painting over the fireplace. Pierre Jeanneret armchairs and a vintage Belgian sofa join tables with tops crafted from panels of wood flooring.
