Ariel Ashe and Reinaldo Leandro designed this New Jersey beach house as a trio of rectilinear structures connected by enclosed breezeways. The duo also oversaw the home’s interiors, collaborating with adviser Raquel Cayre on the art and furnishings, while Enea Garden Design conceived the landscaping.

Next to the living room’s soapstone fireplace, a Margot Bergman painting overlooks a custom-made console by RT Facts, a pair of lounge chairs by Fernando Mendes, and a Faye Toogood stool; the abaca rug is by Beauvais Carpets.

Sculptural cherry dividers between the living and dining spaces create an entrance gallery for displaying art and objects.

An Isamu Noguchi lantern hangs from the double-height ceiling in the living room, where a 1970s de Sede sofa snakes between a vintage cocktail table in the style of T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and a vintage François Catroux table surrounded by 1950s Gio Ponti chairs. The floor lamp is by Arredoluce, and the rattan chair is a Franco Albini design.

Ashe and Leandro added color to the kitchen’s island and upper cabinets, which were crafted with bleached white oak by Jonathan Arnold Inc.; the countertops are travertine, the oven and range are by Wolf, the integrated refrigerator is by Sub-Zero, and the Kohler sink is outfitted with Dornbracht fixtures.

In the breakfast room, a Rogan Gregory pendant hangs above an India Mahdavi table and chairs from Ralph Pucci.

An artwork by Carissa Rodriguez strikes a whimsical note in a hallway niche cushioned in a vibrant Dedar fabric.

Chairs by Heather Ashton Design offer prime seating on an upper terrace with all-mahogany flooring, balustrades, and brise-soleils overhead for shade. 

A Servomuto wall lamp is mounted over a banquette cushioned in a Kvadrat stripe outside a child’s room, where Allied Maker pendants hang above the custom-made bed and Ethnicraft nightstand. 

Ceramics by Matthias Vriens-McGrath (left) and Daniel Mandelbaum top a Studio Glustin travertine console that’s flanked by 1990s Verner Panton chairs in an oak-paneled hallway.

In the playroom, custom-shaped cushions are arrayed around a Blå Station modular sofa, with a Sacco carpet underfoot. Beyond the doorway, a Roe Ethridge photograph is paired with a child’s chair by Keith Haring.
