Designer Jeffrey Alan Marks Crafts a Perfect Shopping List for a Dreamy Child’s Bedroom

Interior designer Jeffrey Alan Marks crafts soulful interiors on both coasts, where he maintains residences in Montecito, California, and East Hampton, New York. Central to his designing ethos is the idea that homes are meant to be lived in, not stand as a monument to style. That includes spaces geared towards even the youngest members of the family. “I always love having something unexpected in a kid’s room. My daughter loves her giant giraffe, and her friends love to read books or color under its legs. Designing for a child lets us, as designers, have so much more fun, and what is more exciting than an eight-foot giraffe.”
