Even after her death, Iris Apfel is making waves in the fashion world. Beginning September 17, admirers of the fashion maven’s style and iconic looks can shop a curated selection of Apfel’s collection both online and at The RealReal’s SoHo store. The RareFinds: Iris Apfel Archive Edit includes over 150 garments and more than 250 pieces of jewelry from her personal wardrobe, including costume pieces and top designer labels, true to Apfel’s fashion philosophy.

“Through expert care and handling, and a deep knowledge of time periods, designers and collections, the UOVO team identified the provenance, authenticity, and condition of each item and took meticulous steps to preserve Apfel’s collection, working to prevent deterioration that could compromise the aesthetic and monetary value,” says Brennan Lowery, UOVO Fashion General Manager. “The expert preservation in a climate-controlled facility and cataloguing by UOVO have been critical to retaining the quality and value of these pieces.”

The limited-time sale, which will include pieces by Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Rucci, Versace, Christian Dior, Tom Ford, and more, follows the success of several Apfel auctions hosted earlier this year. Admirers were quick to jump on the opportunity to own a piece of Apfel’s colorful personality, with over 200 items from the sale hosted at Christie’s purchased at price points higher than estimates.

Apfel, who was featured in a 2005 exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, died in 2024 at age 102. In addition to Apfel’s everlasting impact on the fashion world, she co-founded the internationally renowned textile company Old World Weavers, and made immeasurable contributions to the design industry.
