The New York designer shares a curated selection of family-friendly activities, stylish accessories, and tasty treats

Venerable New York designer James Huniford is celebrated for his ability to craft warmly welcoming spaces that embody the idea of luxury without labels. Awash in expansive palettes of earthy neutrals peppered with moments of chromatic splendor or punctuated with visually compelling texture, his rooms reverberate with personal touches that make them both distinct and timeless.

Yet, for all his design prowess, he’s perhaps most distinguished for his humanitarian efforts, particularly as the founder of the annual Design on a Dime fundraiser, a vibrant shopping extravaganza that brings together a who’s who of the industry to help raise funds for Housing Works and its efforts to combat homelessness and AIDS.

Here, the father of two curates a gift list that runs the gamut from stylish accessories to items perfect for family bonding.
