When it comes to opening doors in Palm Beach, no one does it better than Jennifer Ash Rudick

When it comes to opening doors in Palm Beach, no one does it better than Jennifer Ash Rudick. As a follow-up to her wildly successful Palm Beach Chic, Galerie’s editor at large just released Palm Beach Living (Vendome). Collaborating with photographer Nick Mele, whom many consider the Slim Aarons of today, Rudick takes readers inside grand Mediterranean Revival residences as well as personality-packed bungalows while chronicling the diverse, individual styles that make the barrier island such an irresistible canvas for designers such as Tom Scheerer, Amanda Lindroth, and Mark D. Sikes.

A triangular Damien Hirst Butterfly painting and vintage Versace pillows set the mood in the baru2019s seating area. A 1970’s Jean Claude Dresse cocktail table and vintage Milo Baughman barrel-back chairs complement the B&B Italia sofa.

A giant ant colony, sculpted by Phipps, has returned home from an exhibition in Dubai. One presides over the main entrance courtyard.

The dining room table and chairs are from Sothebyu2019s auction of Elton Johnu2019s townhouse furnishings. The sideboard is by David Linley. The lattice wallpaper, Bali Hau2019i Mandarin, is a Carleton Varney design. The chandelier is a creation of Christau2019s South Seashells.

In this family room, designer Kelli Rug added pink barstools and the bamboo-trimmed blue dado, complementing the colors in an oversized wool carpet made in Shannon, Ireland. The painting was found in a vintage shop on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. A framed lobster is from Brass Scale Antiques.

A chandelier of gilded branches presides over the living room, where the ceiling was given special attention. A coffee table made from camel bone and a mirror framed with porcupine quills give the room an exotic touch.

The walls in Elizau2019s bedroom were hand-painted to imitate the Maison Jansen u2013 designed dining room in Lady Baillieu2019s villa in Nassau. Elizau2019s childhood mahogany four-poster beds were shipped from Nassau. The Lyford Bar Cart is from Amanda Lindroth’s collection, as are the Sloane Scalloped Side Tables and the Bamboo Table Lamps.

u201cThose arenu2019t colors that work in a lot of houses, but they are appropriate here,u201d says Susan Zises Green of the cream, coral, and pink palette in the living room. Fortuny pillows adorn the custom sofas and armchairs, all upholstered in Claremont fabrics. The side tables are from John Rosselli & Associates. The flower arrangements throughout the house are by legendary Palm Beach florist Tom Mathieu.

Mario Nievera transformed the courtyard into a paradise of gurgling fountains, coquina verandas, dining patiosu2014each privatized with walls of tropical foliage.
