The Obamas’ Vacation Home on Martha’s Vineyard Just Sold for $15 Million

The “Summer White House” comes with a private beach, infinity pool, and heated limestone floors

The Martha’s Vineyard estate where President Barack Obama and his family once spent the summer has sold for $15 million.

Built in 2006, the 7,000-square-foot Chilmark House was put on the market in November with an asking price of $22.5 million. The former first family rented the property in the summer of 2013. According to the original Sotheby’s listing, the “Summer White House” has six bedrooms and five full bathrooms (with marble baths and heated limestone floors), sits on nine and a half acres of land, and includes a full guesthouse.

In addition to a small piece of presidential history, the new owners will get private beach access, a boat dock on Chilmark Pond, a heated infinity pool, half basketball court, a screened-in porch, and an outdoor terrace.
