Editor in Chief Jacqueline Terrebonne Shares Highlights from Galerie’s Fall 2026 Issue
Our latest issue spotlights artists, designers, and visionary women in the art world
When we first profiled Claire Tabouret in Galerie, in 2017, I was transfixed by her work. I immediately connected with the captivating faces of women and children on her canvases. After following her incredible rise over the past decade, I find it so meaningful to have her on the cover of an issue that celebrates feminine spirit and creativity. It’s no surprise that she’s become such a star—and she gives us insight into creating the historic stained glass windows for Notre-Dame in our feature “The Passion of Claire Tabouret.”
She’s not the only female force in the edition. In our annual portfolio of “Women Shaping the Art World,” we take a close look at six astonishing leaders in their fields from around the world and how they are paving the way for a new generation of artistic achievement.
Plus, in Italy, we visit Marchese Antinori’s vineyard south of Florence, where Alessia Antinori, who is among the 26th generation to lead the family business, continues its tradition of bringing wine and art together. We also spotlight a mesmerizing Akris fashion collaboration with Colombian textile artist Olga de Amaral.
Elsewhere, spectacular homes combine design and art in spaces that stunningly reflect their unique locations. In Cabo San Lucas, Summer Thornton looks to Mexican serapes to devise a getaway that’s both textural and colorful, while designer Lexi Zavad marries minimalist art with collectible furniture, all imbued with a quiet power that allows views of Aspen, Colorado, to take center stage. The golden, sculptural lighting in our shopping feature has much of that same strength—a dynamic energy that runs through every one of these pages.
