Galerie Toasts East Hampton Art & Design Days with Elegant Dinner Hosted by Founder and Editorial Director Lisa Fayne Cohen
An exquisite dinner hosted at Cohen’s East Hampton home kicked off a weekend full of extraordinary artistry and craftsmanship on Long Island’s East End
On Friday, July 10, a prestigious coterie of guests gathered at the East Hampton home of Galerie founder and editorial director Lisa Fayne Cohen for a celebratory evening in honor of the extraordinary design talents and artisans participating in East Hampton Art & Design Days and The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show.
The weekend was especially meaningful for the East Hampton Historical Society and the Mulford Farmhouse, which was recently restored to resemble its appearance in 1776.
“The evening really was a celebration of three wonderful events,” said Cohen, referencing the return of East Hampton Art & Design Days, the East Hampton Antiques and Design Show, and ten years since Galerie’s founding. “It’s such a wonderful time of year to host these events, and they are really gaining traction.”
The evening’s warm summer air provided the perfect ambiance as Cohen gave a heartfelt speech to guests, including Jacqueline Terrebonne, Debbie Druker, Steve Long, Tom Scheerer, Scott Sanders, Edwina Von Gal, Chesie Breen, Ellen Niven, Sarina Ogden, Mario Nievera, Perry Guillot, Bryan Graybill, and many other distinguished designers and creative talents. Guests also took in Galerie’s Summer issue, which on the cover features the recently reimagined interiors of the home they were gathered at, a gorgeous result of a creative collaboration between Cohen and Sanders. Ogden and Von Gal are also featured inside the issue.
The conversation was lively and festive as Dry Farms Wines flowed and dinner prepared by Stone Creek Inn was served at tables decorated with linens from Sanderson Design Group’s Zoffany x Michael S. Smith collection, which paired beautifully with florals by Arthur Golabek Floral Design and the oceanfront setting.
