Galerie, McBournie Richards, and Stark Toast Paris Déco Off
Designers, industry insiders, and treasured friends came together to discuss the week's most anticipated moments
On Tuesday evening, guests of Galerie and Gary McBournie and Bill Richards gathered for an elegant cocktail soirée co-hosted by Stark at the McBournie Richards residence to celebrate the annual return of Paris Déco Off. Designers, industry insiders, and treasured friends mingled while discussing the week’s most anticipated moments and enjoying all the extraordinary details within the home, including hand-painted de Gournay wallpaper and numerous rugs by Stark.
Lively conversations about what to see around town and which museum shows guests hoped to see this week unfolded in various settings throughout the magnificent space, which was featured in Galerie’s Late Fall issue and features a distinctive palette complemented by vintage and antique French furnishings. “There’s nothing better than bringing the pages of Galerie to life, especially in Paris,” says Jacqueline Terrebonne, Galerie’s Editor in Chief. “The apartment is the perfect mix of French and American styles, and I loved how the guests were poring over every design detail and admiring the spirited use of color and pattern.”
As the evening unfolded, guests toasted with Champagne and wine, and dined on delectable offerings by Plate such as Comté Gougère, Tartlet Caesar with chicken confit and parmesan, Winter Rolls with Italian avocado, rainbow cabbage, and candied sweet potato, and more.
