In the heart of the Hudson Valley is the former hunting retreat of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and it’s now on the market for just $1.55 million. Located in Hopewell Junction, New York, the circa-1930 property, known as the Embury Stone House, boasts five bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths across 4,164 square feet.

“The Embury Stone House captures everything we love at This Old Hudson: history, design, and a remarkable sense of place,” Anthony D’Argenzio, founder and creative director of This Old Hudson, which has the listing, tells Galerie. “Designed by Aymar Embury II for [Secretary of the Treasury] Henry Morgenthau Jr. and later a retreat for FDR, it’s a timeless Hudson Valley landmark that showcases the character and natural beauty that define our work.”

Situated on 12.2 acres, this historic dwelling is a single-family home in the East Fishkill neighborhood within Dutchess County. Design elements and amenities include a heated saltwater pool, towering chimneys, arched doorways, original timber beams, gables, mantels, a grand fireplace made of stone, Tudor-style windows, mountain views, and more.
