Discover the Winners of the 2025 Créateurs Design Awards
As the grand finale to Paris Déco Off, the annual ceremony honored Norman Foster, SANAA, and a multitude of design-world luminaries
Earlier in January, the design world’s power players gathered in Paris for another whirlwind Maison & Objet and Déco Off, where innumerable events, exhibitions, cocktail parties, and product debuts highlighted everything new and notable in the world of décor. Capping off the weeklong festivities was the Créateurs Design Awards, the annual ceremony that celebrates creativity, innovation, and excellence across architecture, design, photography, and journalism. The black-tie gala unfolded in spectacular fashion at the iconic Shangri-La Hotel and was attended by a prestigious group of architects, designers, and cultural icons.
At the heart of the ceremony were two prestigious honors. Norman Foster, one of architecture’s most prolific and influential figures, received the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award—a testament to his career-defining contributions to sustainable and innovative design. Additionally, the Japanese architecture firm SANAA, headed by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, were awarded Le Prix Charlotte Perriand in recognition of their minimalist yet profound approach to design that continues to inspire worldwide. The latter prize is awarded to industry luminaries while they are actively creating groundbreaking new work.
During his acceptance speech, Foster delivered an inspiring message to the star-studded attendees and the wider creative community, encouraging professionals to “always be a student” and embrace a mindset fueled by curiosity, openness, and the constant pursuit of knowledge. And while reflecting on Foster’s legacy, architect and Galerie Creative Mind Lee F. Mindel compared the Créateurs Design Awards to the design industry’s very own Oscars. “There is the Oscar, the Grammy, the Tony, the Pritzker, and then there is the Créateurs Design Awards,” he said. That sentiment captured the spirit of the evening.
The event also celebrated a stunning array of creative talent across 14 categories, highlighting exceptional achievements in product design, interior design, architecture, and more. See below for the full list of winners and nominees.
