Cartier Celebrates 100 Years of Trinity with Immersive Miami Pop-Up Experience
Journey back to the iconic collection's beginning when the first piece was designed in 1924
Cartier is capping off a nearly year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Trinity with a Miami pop-up that highlights the rich history of the iconic collection. Open December 4-8, visitors of the pop-up are invited to journey back to the very beginning, when Louis Cartier designed the first piece of Trinity jewelry in 1924.
Five unique spaces—each encapsulating a theme in the collection’s storied history—will collectively tell the Trinity story through present day. There is the Jean Cocteau room, where visitors will see how the iconic double-stacked pinky rings came to be in the 1930s, another room dedicated to Trinity’s place in pop culture, and a third room that fittingly pays homage to the number three, which is a recurring theme in the maison’s creations of interlocking platinum, yellow gold, and rose gold rings.
In additional spaces, more than 3,000 Cartier pieces are on view for the public to see, showcasing the maison’s varied and diverse designs. Visitors will have the opportunity to try on select creations at the conclusion of the experience.
The pop-up marks the end of a global celebration that kicked off in February and made stops in London, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. The maison is also paying homage to Trinity’s centennial with an exclusive new series of novelties that launched Dec. 1. The limited edition series integrates animal motifs in five new iterations of Trinity including a two-finger ring and a single earring. Each band pays homage to the animals that play a recurring, important role in the maison’s history; the panther, the tiger, and the snake.
