Perhaps the most efficient way to visit a multitude of destinations in one continuous trip is through cruising. Plus, with the proliferation of high-design, sophisticated vessels, it’s possible to meander from port to glamorous port cosseted in sumptuous luxury. Explora Journeys’ two ships, which house approximately 900 passengers each, carry some of the largest ocean-facing accommodations in the industry, each outfitted with Molteni&C furnishings, as well as curated art collections in the suites, Galleria d’Arte, and other public spaces. Explora I and II recently launched their Mediterranean itineraries, visiting Greece, Italy, Spain, Malta, Portugal, and more.

On board, guests can sample a wide range of upscale dining, from the authentic Pan-Asian flavors at Sakura and the hearty steak house fare at Marble & Co. Grill (where the caviar-topped fingerling potatoes are a must-order) to the celebration of Italian cuisine at Anthology. Days at sea can be spent unwinding in the calming spa, improving culinary skills in the Chef’s Kitchen, or shopping at the first-ever Rolex and Buccellati boutiques at sea.
