Tiffany & Co. Introduces Jean Schlumberger—Inspired Watch Collection

The new timepieces reimagine the renowned French jewelry designer’s iconic paillonné enamel creations

Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the Enamel watch collection, paying tribute to its storied horological legacy while reimagining some of the house’s most iconic creations designed by Jean Schlumberger. Available in three variations and produced in limited quantities, the collection reinterprets and takes inspiration from Schlumberger’s paillonné enamel designs.

The enamel craft, which was first exhibited by the house in the 1870s in a dessert set, was revived by Schlumberger in 1962, and was widely recognized in his Croisillon bangles. In the new watch collection, the diamond-set dial is encircled by a rotating ring of Tiffany Blue paillonné enamel or white enamel, together with a signature cross-stitch motif in 18k yellow gold. The watch is presented in a 36 mm case of 18k white or yellow gold.

The caseback is engraved with a sunburst pattern inspired by Schlumberger’s Floral Arrows brooch and set with 14 diamonds. The alligator strap is fastened with an 18k yellow or white gold T buckle set with 43 round brilliant diamonds. Additionally, a high jewelry model cased in 18k white gold with Tiffany Blue enamel is presented on an 18k full-pavé white gold bracelet, set with 666 diamonds. The watch, while dazzling in finish and movement, features a whimsical tribute to Schlumberger’s design approach, as the 12 cross-stitches spin freely with every movement of the wrist.

Schlumberger’s legacy has regularly served as inspiration at Tiffany & Co., namely his “Ribbons,” the “Bird on a Rock” collection, aquatic motifs, and more.
