8 Stunning Tablescapes To Celebrate Easter
Some of our favorite tastemakers share their tips on creating the perfect holiday setting
Easter is a holiday full of unique family traditions. From trips to church in our Sunday best to egg hunts on the lawn and customary feasts around the table, the April occasion gracefully marries ceremony with frivolity. “I love placing beautiful silver bowls full of chocolates on the table,” shares Aerin Lauder. “This is a tradition that I learned from my grandmother, and I still continue it today.”
The holiday too lends itself to a spritely palette that’s echoed in the abundant spring flowers that often find their way into a beautiful over-the-top tablescape. “I love Easter. After church, I like to do the silly things, such as having an Easter brunch with sweet rolls and bacon and lots of little presents,” says New York and Palm Beach based interior designer, Leta Austin Foster. “I put surprise balls on the table because my grandchildren love them, probably because they are so messy, and of course, flowers, flowers, flowers.”
No matter how you choose to celebrate the Easter holiday, now is the time to prepare for a new season of entertaining at home. Here, we’ve rounded up some of the most exquisite table settings from Galerie’s favorite tastemakers to give you some inspiration.

“Pink and green does a wonderful Easter make,” says Huh. “I love doing flower arrangements at varying heights and incorporating colorful crystals to match the season. Woven natural grass placemats and simple white napkins keep it from feeling overly fussy.”

“Easter and springtime entertaining is all about pretty pastels and floral touches. My favorite spring flowers are lilacs, garden roses and lily of the valley, which are fun to mix all together on a tablescape,” says Lauder.

“We love the Napoli collection for any spring celebration. It’s inspired by the sun-faded frescoes and mosaics of Naples and comes in this blue and white palette with pops of sunny yellow that feels super fresh,” says Martin.

“I like to set the table with a pretty cloth, like this lovely new Porthault design by Aerin paired with Moustiers china from Zoë de Givenchy. (I am old enough to remember Hubert de Givenchy, who designed all the clothes for Audrey Hepburn. How I used to yearn for them!) I have soft green napkins from Busatti, so that I can show my foil wrapped chocolate peas and carrots on top of them. I put my little heirloom Beatrix Potter figurines on the table, which I collect and which I sell in my shop,” she says.

“We use our Bellflower Blooms tablecloth as a starting point,” says Mellott. “The soft watercolor print, originally hand-painted and re-worked by the artists in our in-house studio, lends a soft, ethereal feel to the table. We layered in Ginori’s Oriente Italiano porcelain dinner plates as well as some Juliska and Estelle colored glassware to play up the blue and periwinkle tones in the tablecloth pattern. The loose arrangement of chamomile flowers looks effortlessly chic, adding to the easy-breezy vibe of the table.”

“This table is set in a corner of the dining room at our home in the Loire Valley, where the warmth of traditional wood paneling contrasts with a spring-inspired palette. The porcelain service brings together three hand-painted collections—Madras, with its structured bands and subtle geometry; Bouquet De Vie, a lyrical floral composition evoking 18th-century Indienne fabrics; and Ruban, a nod to French ribbon motifs found in Directoire and Empire decorative arts. Plates are layered over woven rattan chargers, creating a tactile dialogue between fine porcelain and natural texture. Porcelain goblets are repurposed as soliflores, casually filled with seasonal blooms. The result is a table that feels domestic yet elevated, reimagining Easter traditions in a contemporary light,” says Daâge.

“This Easter table is all about the soft hues of pink with a little twist. We used bamboo flatware, table lamps for beautiful lighting and tortoise glasses from our shop to give it a layered and interesting look,” Mcauliff and Davis share.

“Something old, something new is my design philosophy and I translated it to this outdoor garden setting,” says Walker. “The old-fashioned garden roses in an antique silver bowl play perfectly with the Herend sprinkled around the table. Bamboo chairs are the classic touch for the linen and lace tablecloth that further connects garden to table with its crisp yet soft hand. A classic table with a touch of whimsy is just right for an Easter gathering.”
