Giorgio Armani Unveils Luxurious Madison Avenue Flagship, Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
The iconic designer drew inspiration from Manhattan's historic Upper East Side for his return to New York

In a year full of monumental moments, Giorgio Armani has room for a few more. The iconic designer, who turned 90 in July and marked 50 years in business, has for the first time presented his Women’s Spring/Summer 2025 outside the Milan Fashion Calendar. Thursday’s New York show coincided with opening of Armani’s new building on Madison Avenue, which houses the Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa boutiques, Armani/Ristorante, and the luxurious Giorgio Armani Residences.
The building, which spans 96,800 square feet over 12 floors, is designed to match the aesthetic of Manhattan’s historic Upper East Side, with an innovative interior featuring sliding walls, spacious rooms, and Armani’s own extensive interior design collection. The restaurant, which serves Italian cuisine, has it’s own street entrance and is outfitted with contemporary design.
“New York, for me, has always been linked to the many films that have deeply shaped my imagination,” says the iconic designer. “Thinking of the city in the ‘30s and ‘40s never ceases to inspire me and I evoke that mood in the new Giorgio Armani women’s collection. It is remembering without nostalgia, though. More vital and frenetic than ever, New York continues to look ahead, ever launching new models of life, style and socializing. I am delighted to unveil the new building on Madison Avenue and to celebrate it with an event and the show. Developed with my team of architects, this project expresses a concept of luxury that deeply respects the culture and spirit of the place, and is meant to be a lasting tribute to a city that has welcomed me and marked important moments in my career.”

In conjunction with the opening, Armani created the New York Exclusive Collection that demonstrates his affinity for New York and will be available at the Madison Avenue boutique and at Bergdorf Goodman. The collection—for both men and women—features a classic palette of neutrals and black in a nod to the classic power suit. It’s complimented by a new Giorgio Armani jewelry line.
For the Spring/Summer 2025 show, the designer chose the iconic Park Avenue Armory. The show, and afterparty, were attended by an international roster of superstars including Liev Schreiber, Brooke Shields, Orlando Bloom, Gianmarco Tamberi, Gemma Chan, Paola Cortellesi, Penn Badgley, and more. Chaka Khan and James Blake provided live entertainment.
