Tour the 2024 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach
See enchanting spaces conceived by Sara Story, Betsy Wentz, Lichten Architects, and more
One of the most captivating elements about visiting a show house is that it’s never the same. Designers routinely push past their comfort zones to create thoughtful spaces that not only speak to the destination, but also astound with thoughtful details, rich palettes, and inspired materials, making interiors that are both exceptional and one of a kind.
This year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach offered a truly unique experience, as the 23 talents from around the country cultivated individual atmospheres that leaned into the modern structure’s quirky architecture. Here, a towering main floor flooded the rooms with South Florida sun, but presented challenges around scale, while upstairs spaces often flowed into one another with undetermined boundaries. A double-height garage was divided to craft a secluded hideaway just off the main stair. But of course, each of the visionary designers met the task head on, installing eye-catching wall installations, sculptural furnishings, and dazzling light fixtures that created visually compelling moments at every level.
Located in West Palm Beach’s buzzy SoSo (South of Southern) neighborhood, the 8,500-square-foot, five-bedroom residence with 4,500-square-foot roof terrace is now available to tour, with proceeds benefitting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club as well as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
“We’re always looking forward to returning to Palm Beach and continue our partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County,” James Druckman, President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, says in a statement. “We’re eager to welcome a new group of designers into the house this year and continue raising critical funds.”
