In the dining room of the Courtyard House, designed by the architects at Workshop/APD, Espasso dining chairs surround a Usona Home dining table topped by single and double Elma chandeliers from Trueing.

In the entry, a custom mirror flanked by Studio Twenty Seven sconces and a sculptural lighting fixture from the Future Perfect surmount a Chareaux console from Robicara, Liaigre rug, and bench from Jean de Merry.

In the media room, wallpaper from Sutherland backs an expansive custom sectional and Workshop/APD cocktail table with ottomans, set upon a patterned rug from Marc Phillips.

In the living room, Siglo Moderno Atelier chairs upholstered in Dedar fabric join a Holly Hunt cocktail table, Ceccotti Star Trek armchair from Franchino, Liaigre stool, Workshop/APD Kaiman sofa, and Blackman Cruz tablelamp, situated around a rug from Holland & Sherry.

Sculptural, coral-like vessels rest atop custom plinths in the hallway lined with a sisal runner by Stark.

In the bunk room, a playful ceiling lamp from Hive Modern glows above RH beds, backed by sapphire colored Holly Hunt wall covering. The chairs are from Roberta Schilling and the rug is by Sacco Carpet.

In the other son’s bedroom, pieces of matching Holly Hunt wall covering in various colorways were spliced together to create a geometric showcase wall. The Lawson Fenning bed, dressed in RH linens, is set upon a rug from Sacco Carpet, while the Reclaimed Lumber Oslo dresser is topped by a sculptural lamp from Mecox. The daybed is from CB2 and the modern chandelier is from France and Son.

In the main bedroom, an EJ Victor sofa rests at the foot of the custom bed, dressed in linens from Eastern Accents. Workshop/APD designed the nightstands, the lamps are by Danny Kaplan Studio, and the rug is from Liaigre.

A Jia chair from Atelier de Troupe, reupholstered in Pierre Frey fabric, is situated alongside an Amorphous teak cocktail table by Andrianna Shamaris, creating the perfect perch to look out over the bucolic landscape, cultivated by Miroslava Ahern.

Gloster chaise longues surround the pool which is centered in the compound.

“Indoor-outdoor living is is not just about putting in a door; it’s about how do you create moments where people can engage on the interior when people are sitting on the outside as well,” says Workshop/APD founding principal Andrew Kotchen. “To us, what really defines successful indoor indoor outdoor living, is that line is totally blurred.”

In Nantucket, the Courtyard House’s many pavilions are connected through a series of indoor and outdoor paths and passages.
