After close to 10 minutes of bidding, Roy Lichtenstein’s Mirror #9 tripled the high estimate to bring $6.1 million.

Untitled by Willem de Kooning saw fierce competition which drove the price far over its $7 million to $10 million estimate, achieving $17,789,300.

Sigmar Polke’s Plastik-Wannen (Plastic Tubs) also exceeded its early estimates to bring $6,184,400.

Swift by Robert Ryman was another of the sale’s top achievers, bringing $10,665,500.
