Leonardo DiCaprio Lists Cozy Bungalow for $1.7 Million
The Oscar-winning actor has listed a villa in L.A.’s trendy Silver Lake neighborhood
Leonardo DiCaprio has listed a quaint hacienda-inspired villa in the ever-hip Silver Lake neighborhood in Los Angeles for $1.7 million.
The Academy Award winner bought the property for just $770,000 nearly 20 years ago, shortly after Titanic made him a household name. The residence is a modest 3,600 square feet, with four bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. The property features a gated entry complete with a koi pond dotted with lily pads and colorful Spanish tiles. Carved wood doors lead into a living room with dark wood floors and ceiling beams, plus a beautiful tiled fireplace.

Built in 1931, the house still boasts a lot of original details of the period, like built-in bookshelves, ornate carved-wood accents, and vibrant Spanish tiles that crop up throughout the house. The kitchen in particular looks of another time, as it’s almost entirely covered in ceramic tiles.
An elevator services all three floors of the house, including a lower level that includes a three-car garage, a workshop area, and storage room. The back terrace has a swimming pool and a covered loggia with a movie projector and a drop-down screen.
The house is listed with Brett Lawyer at Hilton & Hyland.
