Using the work of BIPOC artists, the Brooklyn-based designer conjures an inviting pool bar and kitchenette that make a statement

Art enthusiasts will be enraptured by New York designer Leyden Lewis’ vibrant pool bar and kitchenette, where a selection of Florense storage options and Fisher & Paykel appliances provide a functional foundation for a playful collection of creative elements. Here, artwork by Oliver Lee Jackson, Florine Démosthène, Raphaël Barontini, Luis Flores, Lyle Ashton Harris, and Andile Dyalvane is displayed amongst a Vladimir Kagan sofa from Holly Hunt, Jomo Tariku chair, tables by Gaspare Asaro-Italian Modern, and a Nico Yektai console. “I love art from all around the world, but I really wanted to focus on art from the BIPOC community and the LGBTQIA,” says Lewis. “I wanted to bring those artists who might be underrepresented spaces like the Sag Harbor show house.”

See below for the video of Leyden’s full tour of the space.
