On Tuesday, Tiffany & Co. opened the doors to its newly redesigned South Coast Plaza store, welcoming guests inside the Peter Marino-designed space filled with the house’s iconic masterpieces and latest creations. The location is chock-full of nods to the house’s storied legacy as well, from the interior façade featuring a textured hammering technique once used by Tiffany silversmith Edward C. Moore, to a series of objects from The Tiffany Archives with ties to the region on display.

Inside the store, guests are met with an immersive digital display of iconic California scenery by artist Oyoram. Elsewhere, a custom light sculpture by architect Hugh Dutton illuminates iconic collections including HardWear by Tiffany, Bird on a Rock by Tiffany, Knot by Tiffany, Sixteen Stone by Tiffany, T by Tiffany, and Lock by Tiffany. The interiors of the main entrance of the World of Tiffany are decorated with masterpieces such as Tiffany Miraculous, Tiffany Smashing, Tiffany Adorable and Tiffany Dish by Damien Hirst, while in the All About Love salon, Color and Light by Michelangelo Pistoletto greets visitors.

The artful experience continues in the Tiffany High Jewelry space and the Jean Schlumberger gallery house, where a Tiffany Studios lamp and Tiffany Cosmos by Urs Fischer envelope visitors. In the Watch Salon, Water Lilies after Monet by Vik Muniz enhances the experience. The South Coast Plaza experience is finished with a site-specific installation, which features objects from The Tiffany Archives with ties to the region, including a specimen of morganite from Mesa Grande, on loan from a private collection.
