Roger Thomas installed a John Hutton Murano chandelier for Donghia and ’30s Carlo Scarpa sconces in the living room, where a Saint Sebastian painting attributed to Bartolomeo Manfredi is mounted above the Donghia sofa.

The couple’s bespoke bed, upholstered in Rubelli fabrics and dressed with custom-made Frette linens, is overlooked by a 1930s Ercole Barovier Murano glass chandelier and an 18th-century painting by Giulia Lama; the bedside lamps are by Hervé Van der Straeten. 

A Fratelli Barbini mirror shimmers in the primary bath, which is outfitted with a Duravit tub and fittings. 

In the entrance hall, a 17th-century painting by Luca Giordano and a Eugène Printz cabinet from the 1930s are framed by vintage Paolo Buffa mirrors and armchairs attributed to Paul Dupré-Lafon.

A Saint Sebastian painting by an unknown 18th-century artist is displayed in the dining room, where a 1930s Murano glass chandelier by Carlo Scarpa hangs above a table featuring a mother-of-pearl mosaic top by Fameed Khalique and midcentury Osvaldo Borsani chairs covered in a Rubelli fabric.

From their second-floor Venetian apartment in the Ca’ del Duca Sforza, Roger Thomas and his husband, Arthur Libera, enjoy enviable views that include the 15th-century Palazzo Loredan dell’Ambasciatore directly across the Grand Canal. 

At one end of the Venetian apartment’s living room, Thomas situated an anonymous 17th-century painting of Saint Sebastian above a De Coene Frères lacquer cabinet; curtains of a Rubelli fabric frame the doors.
