Established in 1941 by Charles and Ray Eames, Eames Office gave the world timeless works of architecture and design. To celebrate the studio’s 80th anniversary, a selling exhibition is on view in Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan through January 5, 2022. Among the memorabilia offered is this first-edition set of playing cards, created in collaboration with Art of Play, which features the design duo’s iconic starburst logo.

For the gentlemanly skater, Polo Ralph Lauren has debuted seven limited-edition skateboards decorated with the brand’s iconic bear, first introduced in 1991. Available exclusively through the Polo app, the seven decks feature a Flag Sitting Bear, Nautical Bear, Polo Bear,  Spectator Bear, Preppy Bear, 30th Anniversary Bear, and Tuxedo Bear.

Nikolai and Simon Haas, known to the art world as The Haas Brothers, are celebrated for their fanciful creations and installations. It’s only fitting they’ve brought their inspired talents to a number of playful pieces for kids. The Animal Alphabet is the twin brothers’ first children’s book, done in collaboration with Johnny Smith.

Aerin Lauder is growing her namesake brand’s elegant collection of games with the introduction of a colorful mahjong collection in a cream shagreen case. Available for pre-order at Saks Fifth Avenue, the set, crafted using refined materials like leather, malachite, brass, and burled wood, joins Aerin’s already available array of luxury games which includes tic-tac-toe, backgammon, dominoes, chess, and poker.

The chicest dollhouse one could ever imagine, Louis Vuitton’s Maison Vivienne Monogram Case brings many of the legendary atelier’s most iconic shapes and designs into one dazzling piece. Inside the decorative collectible, a Vivienne doll can explore rooms outfitted with miniature Louis Vuitton Courrier Lozine and Wardrobe trunks.

The Regni chess set from Armani/Casa features a travel-friendly board printed on a sumptuous wool throw. The richly colored orange and dark green pieces are made from a buttery soft leather. Available in stores. 

Known for their high-design balance bicycles for kids, Banwood has joined forces with Paris furniture studio Rispal for a stunning two-wheeler. Rispal’s Douglas Mont conceived the Icon’s retro design using a handmade leather saddle, Michelin wheels, and a gold Streamline Moderne inspired frame.

Now in its eighth iteration, Between the Lines: An RxArt Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists collects drawings by Derrick Adams, Jordan Casteel, Sofia Mitsola, Anna Weyant, Arcmanoro Niles, Derek Fordjour, and many others to help raise funds for RxART’s programs that bring visual art to children in hospital settings. Additionally, copies of the biennial coloring book are donated to pediatric patients, and since its introduction in 2005, more than 135,000 copies have been gifted.

Inside Between the Lines: An RxArt Coloring Book by Contemporary Artists – Volume 8, which features drawings by 49 contemporary artists, such as Derrick Adams, who designed this year’s cover and sticker spread.

For the future architect, Archiblocks Bauhaus, from French toy company Cinqpoints, allows builders to craft Bauhaus-style buildings from 27 handmade lime wood pieces. The shapes can also be used to spell the word “Bauhaus.” Available from the Glass House’s online store, each purchase helps maintain the landmark Philip Johnson site in New Canaan, Connecticut.

Almost all modern-day kids share a fascination with slime—this limited-edition kit adds an artful element to the ooey-gooey plaything. Artist Katherine Bernhardt’s Hot Summer Sandía Slime from Perrotin comes with a jar of Watermelon clay and another of Watermelon Popsicle scented slime, stickers by the artist, and a selection of whimsical charms. Limited to just 1,000, several of which feature lids signed by Bernhardt, the set’s proceeds benefit the mental health non-profits Sad Girls Club, NAMI, and Love is Louder.
