A rare architectural gem in Los Angeles has hit the market for the first time in nearly four decades, with an asking price of $3.38 million. The home, offering views of Silver Lake and the iconic Hollywood sign, was once the personal residence of architect Richard Holme, a protégé of Southern California modernist Richard Neutra. Another residence with ties to Neutra was put on the market by Hollywood producer Ryan Murphy earlier this year with an asking price of $33.9 million.

The cedar-clad exterior of the Moreno Highlands house has been largely left true to Holme’s design, which includes full walls of glass, while the interior has undergone tasteful updates that keep true to the overall aesthetic.
The multilevel dwelling’s contemporary remodel was orchestrated by Brian Bell and includes a sleek, updated kitchen outfitted with quartz, Calacutta marble, and granite complemented by designer fixtures.
