What was the inspiration for your room at this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York?
“My inspiration was the idea of escape to work. I wanted to create a home office that isn’t just about function, but about transformation—a place where the mind rises to another state while remaining rooted in the intimacy of home. It’s spiritual and magical, a private sanctuary layered with elements that inspire both focus and relaxation. For this design, I envisioned the client as a female board member of the Museum of Modern Art in New York—someone whose work is deeply connected to creativity, intellect, and culture. The space reflects that duality: a refined environment that is both inspiring and restorative.”
Please tell us about a significant piece that helps shape the mood of your space.
“Luxury cabinetry design, fabrication, and installation are a significant part of our work, and in this room, cabinetry plays a central role. It’s not only essential to the functionality of the space, but also integral to its beauty. The craftsmanship and detail elevate the room beyond practicality, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and inspiring.”
How does your work for this Kips Bay project exemplify your style as a designer – or is it just the opposite, something you have always wanted to try as a designer but haven’t found the client?
“This project reflects my belief that design should move beyond aesthetics and elevate daily life. I often layer texture, light, and detail to create spaces that feel deeply personal and transportive. With this room, I was able to lean into a more spiritual, almost poetic expression of my style—something I’ve always envisioned but rarely had the opportunity to fully realize.”
What does it mean to you to be back working with Kips Bay?
“I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Kips Bay Show House for the fourth time, my second in New York City. Each time, the experience is uniquely inspiring— both in the creative process of bringing my own vision to life and in seeing how fellow designers interpret theirs. For me, it’s about contributing to something larger than a single room: a collective celebration of design, innovation, and philanthropy. This year, I’m especially looking forward to the energy of the 50th anniversary and the opportunity to be part of such a milestone moment.”
What does it mean to you to be part of the 50th anniversary of Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York?

Kips Bay has always stood for creativity and philanthropy, and being part of this milestone feels like contributing to a legacy of design that continues to inspire and make a difference.”
