Lillian August Celebrates 30 Years of Bringing Highest Quality Furnishings
The family-led brand continues its legacy in delivering the finest furnishings and wall-coverings
There’s a quiet art to creating a layered home, mixing various styles and silhouettes for a personal interior that is both welcoming and refined, cozy yet distinguished. Offering an inspired mix has becoming a hallmark of Lillian August, which is celebrating 30 years of designing beautiful furniture pieces destined to become future heirlooms. Eponymous founder Lillian August began the company after a career in textiles; today, her son Dan and granddaughter Eliza have joined the family-run business to help craft an expansive array of refined tables, inventive cabinets and case goods, and tailored sofas and seating in truly sumptuous materials.

What makes Lillian August’s collections particularly timeless is the distinctive feel of each piece, which come in myriad styles to appeal to anyone’s personal aesthetic. Additionally, the brand offers an extensive collection of wall coverings—from printed patterns to neutral texture—to complement the various furniture styles.

Boosting Lillian August’s relationship with their trend-setting clients, the studio works in tandem with longstanding furniture brand Hickory White and Sherrill Furniture, which recently debuted a new showroom at 315 Fred Alexander Place in High Point, North Carolina. Here, guests can see standout pieces like the classic Dakota Credenza, made of stunning birch and poplar hardwoods as well as bleached Koto Veneer; the Carla Chair, which features a crescent shaped front upholstered in plush fabric and accented with antique walnut finishes; as well their Modern Archives’s Rex Mirror, an architecture-forward piece comprised of an aged grey metal frame complemented by brass machine screws.
