Hollywood’s Favorite Jeweler Drops an Ocean-Inspired Homeware Collection
The exceptional collaboration brings the artistry of jewelry making to dinnerware and home accessories and stems from a shared devotion to craftsmanship and detail
There was once a time when one reserved their most precious jewelry and finest tableware for special occasions. Two driving forces in breaking down those old-fashioned notions have been Jessica McCormack, who champions wearing diamonds every day with her namesake jewelry line, and Elad Yifrach, founder, president, and creative director of L’Objet, who elevates the artistry of dinnerware and home accessories. Now they’ve come together for an exceptional collection.
Introduced by the Haas Brothers, who have partnered with each in the past, McCormack and Yifrach connected over their shared devotion to craftsmanship and detail. Through the years, they talked about a joint project, and then McCormack attended a L’Objet fragrance launch in London, where she passed Yifrach an envelope and said, “I’ve made some drawings.”
Those initial sketches, which grew into an assortment of Champagne and ice buckets, platters, a caviar dish, and more, referenced her 2023 Beaches collection, distinguished by oceanic motifs, especially the conch shell. “It’s such a pretty shape, and I remember thinking I’d love to be able to see this even if I’m not wearing it,” she says. Yifrach quickly recognized the potential. “It was very nautical but done her way, and we have a very big love for anything nautical,” he adds.
This collaboration also sparked L’Objet’s first foray into cutlery. “Jessica drew these salad servers as an implement that looked like Neptune’s spear,” Yifrach says. “It was such an aha moment.” That maritime rope handle was translated into a full stainless steel table setting, which comes lavishly packaged in a box inspired by a tiara case, as well as bisque porcelain shell bowls, some of which are adorned with 24K-gold detailing.“The whole collection is meant to be put anywhere—dress it up, dress it down,” says McCormack, who has seen celebrities such as Zoë Kravitz sport her impressive old mine cut diamonds with jeans and a T-shirt. “We have really captured that ethos of just having beautiful things, using them, and enjoying them.”
