Gisele Bündchen’s Former New York Townhouse Hits the Market for $17 Million
Set on a treelined block of the West Village, the 1851 Italianate brownstone encompasses 5,300 square feet and has four bedrooms
A beautifully preserved Manhattan townhouse has just hit the market—and it comes with a supermodel pedigree. The Italianate-style brick dwelling served as Brazilian bombshell Giselle Bündchen’s bachelorette pad between 2005 and ’09, after she dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio but before she married football star Tom Brady. Bündchen, who split from Brady in 2022, unloaded the four-bedroom home for a reported $12.95 million after a renovation.
Now asking just under $17 million, the four-story, 22.5-foot-wide brownstone is tucked on a tree-lined stretch of Barrow Street in the West Village and dates to 1851. Recent upgrades to the 5,300-square-foot residence include new windows and roof, plus a built-in sound system and lighting.
The biggest draw might be the top level’s floor-through primary suite, which features a double-height skylight, bespoke closets, and a soaking tub. In total there are four full baths and two powder rooms, plus a whopping seven wood-burning fireplaces. Outdoor areas include a private rear garden enclosed by a tall brick wall as well as a terrace on the third floor that is connected to one of the bedrooms.
The famous supermodel, who now resides in South Florida with her children, has been growing her real estate portfolio in the wake of her highly publicized divorce, picking up an $11.5 million manse in Surfside as well as a 7.5-acre farmstead on the edge of the Everglades in recent years.
42 Barrow Street is listed for $16.995 million with Rachel Glazer of Compass. See more photos below.
