The vibrant spirit and timeless allure of New York’s Art Deco period is masterfully celebrated by Fernando Jorge in his new high-jewelry collection, Vertex. The designer’s first foray into the diamond baguette, a cut characterized by sharp lines and light-reflecting facets, these pieces are a dazzling combination of geometry and structure infused with Jorge’s signature fluidity and movement.

“The pieces have architectural quality, but so that they sit nicely on the body and move. Each piece is hinged through the central row of diamonds, like a spine,” says the London-based creative, who opened a New York showroom in February. The result is a combination of geometry, structure, feminine fluidity and sensuality.

“I was drawn to the architectural potential of diamonds to create pieces that feel both sculptural and intimate,” he says. “Diamonds have the ability to bridge the gap between past and present, which is the heart of Vertex.”
