Trailblazing. Dynamic. Ingenious. These are just a few words that come to mind when thinking about the incredibly talented visionaries featured in our fall issue. No matter if they specialize in art, design, fashion, or food, each possesses an original take on the world around them. As a result, they push the cultural conversation forward in thought-provoking, meaningful ways—and they do it with style.

Take, for example, the six female innovators profiled in our Women Shaping the Art World portfolio. Inside, Galerie spotlights stage-designer-slash-artist Es Devlin, who is making strides with her imaginative installation for the Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, as well as Mariët Westermann, whose skillful guidance is continuing to expand the global footprint of the Guggenheim far beyond the scope of New York’s Fifth Avenue original.

Of course, not all the stories in these pages happen on the world stage. There’s also meaning in curating the perfect home, just as Elizabeth Lawrence, partner of design legend Bunny Williams in the firm Williams Lawrence, did for a young family of Upper East Side collectors. Here, she hits all the right notes, mixing antiques and a traditional sensibility with a cool, contemporary art collection in a deeply personal way.

On the cover, Steven Gambrel proves his mastery of color—and is fearless in conceiving rooms with big personalities that stand up to bold artworks. In another story where palette makes an extraordinary statement, we look at Bulgari’s latest high-jewelry collection, Polychroma, gleaning special insight from jewelry creative director and gems buying director Lucia Silvestri.

Plus, we go one-on-one with some of the stylish thought leaders of our day. Artist Alex Prager turns the lens on herself as she prepares for the debut of her first full-length feature film, opening the door to her California studio. And she’s not the only one offering a big reveal—architect Peter Marino shares his new collection of fabric with Rubelli, Dries Van Noten talks about his namesake brand’s first New York boutique, and Tommy Hilfiger divulges his connection to masterpieces in his personal collection. I truly needed a bigger thesaurus to capture all the excitement in this edition.
