Editor in Chief Jacqueline Terrebonne Presents the Summer Escapes Issue
Inside Galerie's latest issue is a portfolio of the best new hotels around the globe, peeks into fascinating design shops, and the ultimate vacation home inspiration

On a recent visit to Italy for Milan Design Week, I took the time for a little side trip to Lake Como. There, Galerie invited friends of the magazine to tour Villa Cagni Troubetzkoy, which we featured in our 2024 Collectors issue. While winding down the hillside path leading to the water, I encountered so many moments of inspiration, from the breathtaking views to the variety of terraced gardens—each an exhilarating example of why it’s so important to travel.
This summer issue launches Artful Escapes, our first portfolio of the best new hotels around the globe. Inside, we reveal the most transportive properties excelling in the categories of design, architecture, wellness, and more. Let it be your ultimate reference for where you want to plan any journey—I know that I’m always looking for another reason to go to London, so I can relax and rejuvenate at the Surrenne Belgravia spa at The Emory hotel again.
In these pages, we also uncover layers of insider knowledge about beloved locales from gallerists, hoteliers, collectors, jewelry designers, and more. Plus, we share some of the most fascinating new design shops—from Cairo to Mexico City.
Yet a long stretch of travel can often make you yearn for your own home, especially when it’s as ravishing as the ones in this issue, including a getaway with magnificent vistas orchestrated by Félix Millory in the south of France (“Where the Sea Meets the Sky,” page 144) and the vacation house on Ibiza in Spain by Natalia Miyar that graces our cover (“Nature Meets Nurture,” page 120).
That said, the one place you absolutely must visit this summer is galeriemagazine.com. If you’ve checked us out lately, you’ve probably noticed we have a fantastic, fresh new look. Our updated and upgraded site is the only destination for all the latest, greatest news in the worlds of art, design, travel, auctions, restaurants, and more. Now packed with deeper intel and insight on all these topics, it’s the perfect resource for mapping out your next adventure and getting a daily fix of inspiration.
