Nothing speaks to Galerie’s mission to Live Artfully more thoroughly and meaningfully than our annual Creative Minds issue. Our list represents a dazzling array of fields; this year’s portfolio encompasses 26 visionaries who excel in their métier by being true pioneers, expanding the possibilities of their crafts.

Take, for example, accomplished landscape designer Edwina von Gal, who blends nature with art and architecture. With her nonprofit Perfect Earth Project, she also educates people about ecological land care. In a similar vein, sculptor Joseph Walsh has an astonishing gift not just for making furniture but also for transforming wood into swirling, lyrical feats. Additionally, he champions other talents through his Making In festival, bringing together skilled artisans from around the world to exchange ideas on his Irish farm. And we always need to have some sparkle—this year, it comes in the form of jewelry prodigy Elie Top, whose sublime references yield bijoux like no others.

Beyond Creative Minds, there are plenty of other geniuses packed into these pages—including renowned artist George Condo, who demonstrated his flair for hospitality design by collaborating on a sumptuous suite at the legendary Paris hotel Le Bristol. We also take you on board a jaw-dropping yacht by Achille Salvagni and inside the Mexico City studio of artist Pedro Reyes.

In keeping with the theme of ingenious work, all the homes showcased have an extra dose of imagination—and boy, are they spectacular. Georgis & Mirgorodsky and Leroy Street Studio prove that no project is as it first appears, with both firms reimagining dire spaces as miraculous residences that highlight profound collections of furniture and art. Proving that with creativity, anything is possible.
