A new collection by Iatesta Studio is offering a glimpse into Barry Dixon’s extensive repertoire, crafted carefully and helmed over decades. The aptly named Barry Dixon collection highlights the materiality and intricate details of the legendary interior designer’s work. The furniture is distilled to essential forms and rendered in steel and mesh, maintaining a traditional essence while presenting a fresh, unexpected approach in material and execution. The lighting designs feature organic forms with whimsical proportions, crafted from brass, steel, and blown glass. The artisan’s touch is a constant presence, elevated with Iatesta Studio’s alluring and innovative finishes, all handmade in Maryland.

“The Nettie Darr Table features claw-and-glass orb feet inspired by a Victorian heirloom, paired with customizable mesh, mirror, or glass tops,” says Dixon.
“Multi-toned brass vines coil around a glowing Edison bulb within a hand-blown glass orb, blending bronze, brass, and pewter tones to harmonize mixed metal finishes in any space,” says Dixon.
“Generously scaled Potting Console for indoor or outdoor use. Originally designed for watering plants, it now serves as a versatile metal bar cart with gurney wheels for easy mobility,” says Dixon.
This sculptural Santorini Chaise seamlessly blends Grecian influences with Edwardian form, crafted from hand-welded aluminum for strength and mobility, and complete with a drain-dry cushion for added comfort.
The Mesh Pedestal Cabinet boasts an industrial quality, featuring metal mesh paired with lion’s claw feet. Its open design allows light to filter through while serving as stylish storage for objects.
